Charles Darwin
(1809-1882). Naturalista inglés autor de la teoría de la evolución de las especies por selección natural, desde entonces conocida como "darwinismo". Su obra más famosa, publicada en 1859, "Origen de las especies", ha ejercido influencia extraordinaria en nuestros conceptos actuales de la vida.
